To save and repeat a Day Plan in Owaves: build the day on My BodyClock, tap the checkmark, then tap the round icon left of the pencil and tap Save (+). Name the plan, pick the days of the week and/or seasons it should repeat on, and tap Save. It then repeats automatically on those days.
Key takeaways
- A Day Plan (the Owaves FAQ also calls it a Routine) is a saved 24-hour template that you can load onto any day or set to repeat, per the Owaves FAQ.
- Saving takes four moves: build the day, tap the checkmark, tap the round icon next to the pencil, then tap Save (+) and choose repeat days.
- A saved plan keeps each activity’s alerts and their timing, text notes, Photo Notes and custom titles, and can carry its own center photo.
- Repeat options cover the 7 days of the week and the 4 seasons, so a training plan can run on weekdays from spring through summer only.
- Owaves: My BodyClock is free on the App Store; BodyClock Plus adds unlimited Day Plans, according to the App Store listing.
What is a Day Plan in Owaves?
A Day Plan is a whole day on My BodyClock saved as a template: every activity, its time, its alerts and its notes. Owaves describes saving Day Plans as central to the app, especially when several weekdays look alike. As the FAQ puts it: “Why not save your day as a template and tinker it a little on each day as needed?”
Many weeks run on a few day shapes, such as an office day, a gym day and a weekend day. Build each once, save it, and the circle fills itself on the days you choose, while any single day stays editable.
How do I save a Day Plan in Owaves?
Build the day first, then save it from the round icon beside the pencil at the top right. The steps below follow the Owaves FAQ pages on planning a day, saving a Day Plan and applying a custom day to weekdays or weekends.
- Open the day you want to use as the template on My BodyClock.
- Enter edit mode. Tap the pencil icon at the top right, or double-tap the space around the circle.
- Build the day. Drag the round activity icons onto the circle. Each new activity starts at one hour (or the time left between its neighbors); drag one of the black circles in or out to change the length.
- Tap the checkmark at the top right to save the day itself.
- Tap the round icon just to the left of the pencil at the top right. A Save button with a plus sign (+) appears.
- Tap Save (+). The New Day Plan screen opens.
- Give the plan a title you will recognize in a list. The FAQ suggests names like “Magic Mondays” or “Favorite Fridays”.
- Choose when it repeats: any days of the week and/or one or more seasons.
- Tap Save at the top right.
What you will see: the plan is saved to your Day Plans and repeats automatically on the days you picked. Alerts, notes and everything else on that day come with it.
How do I make a Day Plan repeat on certain days?
Open the plan from the Day Plans list in the side menu, select its days and seasons, and tap Save. The Owaves FAQ on repeating a Day Plan lays it out:
- Tap the profile icon at the top left. The side menu slides out.
- Tap Day Plans.
- Choose the plan you want to repeat.
- Select the days of the week and the season or seasons it should repeat on.
- Tap Save at the top right.
Owaves uses the same season dates in both hemispheres, with the seasons swapped: March 20 to June 19 is spring in the Northern Hemisphere and fall in the Southern (season dates). The FAQ on seasonal repeats notes that research suggests mood and physical activity levels peak in spring and summer, so a plan to train for a 5K could repeat during spring and/or summer.
How do I load a saved Day Plan onto one day?
Go to the day, tap the round icon next to the pencil, and pick the plan from the drawer that slides out, per the Owaves FAQ on loading a Day Plan. Use it for one-offs, like a Saturday that should look like a weekday. Owaves noted in a July 2025 App Store reply that the iPad app was rebuilt to match the iPhone, saved templates included.
What does a saved Day Plan keep?
Everything attached to its activities: alerts and their timing, text notes, Photo Notes and custom titles, plus an optional center photo, per the Owaves FAQ. Because alerts travel with the plan, a weekday template can cue your wind-down at the same time every weeknight without setting anything again.
How do I edit, pin or archive a Day Plan?
All three start in the same place: the profile icon at the top left, then Day Plans.
- Edit: choose the plan, tap the pencil icon, make your changes, tap the checkmark, then Save.
- Pin: swipe left on a plan you use often and tap the thumbtack icon; it moves to the top of the list.
- Archive: swipe left and tap the folder icon; the plan moves to an Archived Day Plans section at the bottom.
Is saving Day Plans free?
Owaves: My BodyClock is free to download, and planning your 24 hours on the circle is included for all users. The App Store listing names Unlimited Day Plans as part of BodyClock Plus, the subscription, along with custom categories and unlimited goals. The listing does not say how many Day Plans the free version keeps, so start free and see whether you need more.
Your day on My BodyClock

The day above on My BodyClock is a weekday worth saving once and repeating. Sleep runs from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM every weeknight, the regular timing a repeating plan protects (see How to Fix Your Sleep Schedule). Pink Flow holds getting ready, two commutes and packing up; orange marks a morning walk and an evening workout; green, three meals; yellow, two work blocks around a light-blue breather; then red family time and a light-blue wind-down with a book.
Save it, set it to repeat Monday through Friday, and only the exceptions need attention. Students can pair a class-day plan from How to Make a Daily Schedule for College with an exam-day plan like How to Plan a Midterm Day on My BodyClock; shift workers can keep one per pattern (Night Shift Schedule).
Build yours in Owaves on the App Store (on Android, join the waitlist), and take the Body Clock Type quiz so your Sleep and Work blocks land where your body clock wants them.
FAQ
