Yuki Tsubota is a 22 year-old freestyle skier for Team Canada from Whistler, British Columbia. She most recently competed in the Sochi 2014 Olympics finishing in sixth place and posting the fourth-highest score in the qualification round. In April 2012 she won the bronze medal at the World Championships presented by the Association of Freeskiing Professionals. In December 2012 she took the silver at the Dew Tour in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Yuki started skiing at the age of three and joined the local freestyle club at age ten. She grew up in the world class mountain resort Whistler Blackcomb with her mom, whom she credits for her success.
Yuki’s Olympic dream began after seeing Jen Heil win the 2006 Olympic gold in moguls. She calls making the national team and going to Sochi “a dream come true”, and has her eyes now set on Pyeongchang 2018!

What is your #1 wellness habit?
Eating healthily. I try my best to eat local food. We have a veggie box delivered every week from a local farm and I try to eat local sustainable meat.
What is your favorite part about living a healthy lifestyle
It makes me feel good and not groggy. Allowing me to do what I do and explore the outdoors.
Describe your sleep ritual.
I usually go to bed around 10-11PM… I like to fall asleep watching tv.
If you could give one piece of health advice to your future kids, what would it be?
Get outside as much as you can and off your devices. 😉 Get dirty in the dirt, play in the forest, play some road hockey… Whatever gets you active and off the couch.
