Gracie Gallegos, UCSD Basketball Player

Gracie Gallegos, a redshirt sophomore guard for UC San Diego, played a pivotal role in the Tritons’ remarkable journey to the 2025 Big West Championship. Stepping up when it counted most, she averaged 10.7 points and 6.7 rebounds over three tournament games. Her standout moment came in the title matchup against UC Davis, where she dropped a career-high 24 points to help UCSD secure the championship and its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

Ranking 9th in the Big West for steals and receiving All-Big West Honors, Gallegos has proven to be a dynamic playmaker for the women’s basketball team. Beyond basketball, Gallegos is committed to maintaining peak performance through wellness and shares her advice and goals for staying at the top of her game.

  • 9:20 – 9:45 AM: Breakfast & Collagen
  • 10 – 11 AM: Class
  • 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM: Basketball Practice 🏀
  • 3:00 – 4:00 PM: Weights
  • 4:00 – 5:00 PM: Lunch
  • 5:00 – 9:00 PM: Shower; Homework; Relax 📚
  • 9:00- 10:00 PM: Dinner
  • 10:00 – 10:30 PM: Skincare; Tea; Stretch
  • 10:30 PM – 9:00 AM: Sleep 💤

What is the most important part of your daily routine?

The most important part of my routine is sleep. I prioritize sleep no matter how busy I am.

What’s your biggest wellness challenge? How do you address it?

My biggest wellness challenge is getting enough protein during our busy day.

If you could give one piece of health advice to your kid(s), future kid(s) or relative(s), what would it be and why?

Get enough sleep and drink enough water!
