Introducing Version 2.9.2 of Owaves: It’s Widget Time!

We at Team Owaves are excited to introduce Version 2.9.2 of the Owaves app, which includes Focus Widgets and several other useful features!  

We know you have requested widgets and have looked forward to their arrival; enjoy them as our gift to you this holiday season! 

If you already have the App Store version of Owaves, your app should have automatically updated to Version 2.9.2! Otherwise, please download the Owaves app at to get the new features! Read on for a brief overview of each of the new features in 2.9.2.

Focus Widget on the Home Screen: Displays Current and Next Activity

Get a quick overview of what’s on your plate in the present moment and what’s up next, right from your phone’s home screen! You can customize this widget to be whatever size works best for you: Small, Medium, or Large!

Examples of Focus Widgets on the Home Screen

To add a Focus Widget to your home screen, do the following:

  1. Press down on your home screen’s background.
  2. Once your apps jiggle, tap the Plus (+) button on the top left of your screen.
  3. Tap the “Owaves: Focus” Widget, and swipe from right to left to select your size of choice.
  4. Tap “Add Widget” and press once more on the background of your home screen. Voila! Now your current and next Owaves activity are easily visible on your home screen.

Precision Titles: New Titles for Icons and Emojis 

Make your day planning more targeted and efficient with Version 2.9.2 of Owaves by using the more specific default titles we’ve created for icons and emojis! Enjoy these precision titles we at Team Owaves have worked hard to create for you.

Instagram Stories: Share Your O to IG Stories 

Want to share your O to your Instagram Stories, rather than just your feed? We’ve got you covered! Here are the steps to do so:

  1. Press Owaves’ Share Button at the top right of your screen. (Note: It looks like a box with an arrow pointing upward.)
  2. Swipe left where the row of apps is and select the “More” button with the three dots.
  3. Scroll down and click “Stories.”

And there you have it! Now you can inspire your friends with your day plan by posting it to your Stories!

How to Share Your O to Instagram Stories

Notifications: Bug Fixes for Notifications       

Enjoy a more easy-to-use notification system that’s free of bugs! When you set your default alert time to “None” in the past, all your alert times on every future planned event would set to “None” as well. However, this issue has now been FIXED in 2.9.2, so you can now get the correct notifications you need!

Want to be notified at the start of your lunch break, 10 minutes before class time, and 1 hour before a work meeting? Prefer no notification before your relaxation time? Set up unique alert times for individual activities by doing the following:

  1. Add an activity to your O
  2. Select the “Event Details” button on the bottom left
  3. Press the “Alert” option to set your desired notification for that activity

If you’d like to set up alert times for already planned activities, simply give each activity on your O that you’d like to set a notification for a quick press, and the “Event Details” menu will pop up. Press down on the Alert option to set your desired notification for that activity.
