To sync your Calendars:
- Click on the top-left Profile icon to go to the Navigation Menu.
- Click on ‘Settings’.
- Under Calendars, click on ‘Synced Calendars’.
- If Owaves does not have access to your calendars, click on “Open Settings App”.
- This should bring you to Owaves in your iOS settings. Turn on the toggle for Calendars. If you do not see a toggle for Calendars, please refer to the instructions below.
- Return back to the Owaves app, to ‘Settings’, and to ‘Synced Calendars’.
- Check the calendars you want to sync and click “Done” on the top-right corner.
If you do not see a toggle for Calendars in Owaves in your iOS settings:
- Go to your iOS settings.
- Tap on Screen Times, and then on Content & Privacy Restrictions.
- Make sure the toggle for Calendars is toggled green.
- Return to Owaves in your iOS settings and you should be able to see the toggle for Calendars.
If you have newly-added events to your Google Calendar, and they are not showing up on Owaves, it is because iOS has not retrieved them from that calendar yet. They will usually show up by themselves within an hour. You can also set the “Fetch” for all your accounts to be automatic/manual/hourly/every 30 minutes/every 15 minutes. You can also set individual accounts to check for updates manually. To do so:
- Go to iOS Settings.
- Scroll down and tap on ‘Calendar’.
- Tap on ‘Accounts’.
- Tap on ‘Fetch New Data’.
- From there, you can set the ‘Fetch’, as well as individually setting your accounts.
If you set an individual account to be manual, open your Google Calendar again, let it refresh, and then check the iOS calendar app to see if the event is there. If it is, it should show up on Owaves.
