Day in the Life:
Introducing Matin Nazari, the Director of Community Development here at Owaves! Matin lives in San Diego and loves learning about health and medicine and spending time outdoors! He aspires to live a healthy life by staying active, eating well-balanced meals, and adhering to a proper sleep schedule. In order to nurture his mind and body, Matin makes it a priority to engage in regular exercise. He especially enjoys hiking, playing soccer and tennis, and working out. In addition, to fuel his body, Matin tries to “eat the rainbow” by incorporating many different colorful fruits and vegetables into his diet each day. Furthermore, Matin strives to wake up and go to sleep at consistent times, so he can function at his best every day. He enjoys using the Owaves app to plan sleep into his daily routine, and the app has helped him overcome the challenge of getting enough sleep each night!

- 8:00 AM – Work
- 10:30 AM – Run and stretch
- 11:00 AM – Eat a salad
- 11:30 AM – Work and meetings
- 2:30 PM – Snack on an apple
- 2:45 PM – Work and meetings
- 5:00 PM – Eat a salad
- 6:00 PM – Relax
- 8:00 PM – Box and lift
- 10:00 PM – Relax
- 11:00 PM – Sleep
As an advocate for maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle, Matin practices mindfulness in his daily routine. He enjoys meditating in the mornings to clear his mind and start his day off with the right mindset. Meditating not only helps reduce stress but also boosts productivity by improving focus and enhancing creativity. Matin also enjoys stretching at night to relieve any physical tension that has built up during the day and prepare for his slumber ahead.
Nurturing His Passion of Photography
In addition to regularly practicing mindfulness, Matin consistently spends time engaging in his passion, photography. He is a skilled photographer, and chances are, you’ve seen several of his photos on our Instagram posts and stories!
