Jon Jones is a professional track athlete. Originally from Portville, NY, he has played sports his whole life. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The University at Buffalo. Once graduated, he went straight into being a professional athlete. His championships include placing gold at the NACAC championships, placing 5th for 2016 Indoor World Championship and placing as the national champion for the 2017 USA Indoor National Championship. He is currently training at the USATF Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. Jon currently ranks No. 4 in his division in the U.S.

What gets you out of bed every morning?

Knowing I have a chance to be an Olympic gold medalist.

What is the most important part of your daily routine?

Taking in the right nutrients for recovery from practice, and lifting to promote healthy and strong muscles.

What is your #1 wellness habit?

Working out, rolling and stretching.

Describe your sleep ritual. What time do you go to bed?

I try and get at least 8-9 hrs of sleep. I usually try to sleep from 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM.

What’s your biggest wellness challenge? How do you address it?

I have a daily practice of positive thinking, of not listening to fear, and of being happy. Some days this practice is more challenging than others. On my most challenging days, I listen to everything that comes up, I address it, and I’m gentle with myself.
