Day in the Life:
We continue our #StayHomeWorld campaign by featuring Rhine Chan, a third-year psychology major at the University of California, San Diego. Currently, she is at home in Singapore finishing up her third quarter of the school year online. With finals coming up soon, she has been busy watching online lectures and review sessions. When she isn’t studying, she enjoys baking, cooking, and working out. She even created her own baking business called My Sugar Fix! Rhine also loves the sunshine and spending time outside in nature.
What’s your personal motto?
Be kind and live life like there’s no tomorrow.
What’s your favorite vegetable?
Broccoli, carrots, and lettuce
What’s your favorite exercise?
Deadlifts, hip thrusts, bicep curls, and mountain climbers
What’s your favorite way to center?
Yoga/stretching with my mum or baking, which helps to relieve my stress

Lost Girls by Peter Lerangis
What’s your favorite YouTube video?
I don’t have a favorite YouTube video, but my favorite YouTuber is definitely Best Dressed!
What’s your favorite daily habit?
I need to have a lot of vegetables with every meal.
Rhine Chan’s daily routine:
- 10:00AM – Wake up/ breakfast
- 11:00AM – Use my phone and keep updated
- 12:00PM – Study time
- 2:00PM – Lunch
- 3:00PM – Baking time
- 5:00PM – Workout
- 6:30PM – Shower/wash up
- 8:30PM – Family time
- 9:15PM – Study time
- 12:00AM – Netflix and chill
- 2:00AM – Sleep
Creating a Baking Business
At only 18 years old, Rhine has already created her own baking business called My Sugar Fix, where she makes all different types of desserts, including cookies, cakes, and donuts! This allows her to share her baked goods with others, turning her passion into a profitable business. During quarantine, Rhine has been using her free time to improve her baking skills, as well as try new recipes and baking techniques!
